Let's start here.

You want to beautifully capture how your family is growing and changing, and you need a photographer to help you do it. Maybe in your mind it goes like this:

✔️ Outfits selected (agonize for days and end up putting something meh together last-minute)

✔️ Session complete (walk away feeling unsure about whether you got just one good shot)

✔️ Gallery downloaded (eventually; you receive a link while at the grocery check-out and forget)

✔️ Phew, that’s done (in time you will forget where you saved your pictures, but at least your Christmas card is halfway done)

What if I said your photography experience doesn’t have to be this way?

The Honest to Goodness experience is different.

Your photos should be more than gorgeous light, more than candid moments, and more than a collection of beautiful images stored on a hard drive. They can be all those things, sure. But you deserve more.

I want your photographs to tell a story about the bigger picture — what it feels like to belong, to be loved, and to be cherished — however that looks for your family. My approach to family photography is to capture your real life exactly as you are and help you relive that goodness and magic day after day.

How do we get there? We start at the end.

How do you think you’ll look back on your life?

Thirty years from now, who do you imagine you’ll be surrounded by? Will you gather around your phone to scroll through photos on the cloud? Instead, what would it feel like to point to your walls and pass around albums and boxes filled with memories?

What kinds of stories will you share? What will you remember most fondly, most vividly? The time you got dressed to take photos by the pond?… What about the bedhead playing video games on a Saturday morning? Maybe it’s the first-place finish at the last swim meet of the season, or the dolls that were toted on every adventure. Whatever it is for you —

A picture of your life is more than just a picture.

That’s why I take the time to understand what means the most to you. Together, we figure out how to preserve what you value in the most meaningful way to you, so that years down the road when you physically place your memories in someone’s hands, you have an enduring reminder of the beautiful life you’ve built.

The Honest to Goodness Experience

First let’s connect

Documentary photography isn’t for everyone. Let’s real talk and explore why it’s important to capture this time in your life.

Before you book, we’ll talk about you and your family, you’ll help me see the vision for your final images, and I’ll answer any questions you have about working with me, pricing included. I want to make sure we’re a good fit!

If you love the idea of photographing your family's everyday life and getting real printed art in your hands, but feel nervous not knowing exactly how everything works, I’ve got you covered. By the end of our call, you should feel comfortable deciding whether or not I’m the right photographer for you.

After you become a client, we dive even deeper. I want to understand the heartbeat of your family and make sure you know exactly what to expect when I come and make pictures of your life.

Now let’s create

My job is to make images that tell your family’s story and document all the honest to goodness moments that come with it.

I use a documentary approach to make the kinds of photographs you wouldn’t get if I stopped and carefully posed you. It takes some time to warm up, but once the novelty of a photographer wears off, I am here for all the magic.

Documentary sessions fit right into your daily life, not the other way around. Back to back swim meets? Let’s go. Last-minute grocery run? I’ll jump in the car. If your toddler isn’t cooperating, I’m here for the tantrums. If your teenager’s in a mood, there’s no pressure to perform.

Nothing about our time together needs to be rushed or add stress. We can plan, or we can go with the flow. Your entire life is worth photographing. Wherever and however you need to be, my camera will be right alongside you.

Yours to cherish

Let’s see your photographs, laugh, cry (yes, really), and turn them into heirlooms that stand the test of time.

Every collection includes a reveal and design appointment to view your new images in detail and select the finishing touches on the artwork that’s perfect for you.

A full-service experience with me means no DIY-ing on your part — I serve as your print-making guide from the beginning. Trust that your images are expertly retouched, meticulously calibrated for printing, and that you have your choice of the highest quality options to print your memories. Designing custom art from your family photographs has seriously never been so effortless.

When your artwork arrives, I’ll personally deliver to your home after inspecting the pieces myself (and, not gonna lie — I love to see the joy on your face!). All that’s left to do now is cherish your story in print for years to come.
